My Progress For My Writing Courses

Well I finished the first assignment of my new writing course and emailed it to my instructor today. Now I'm starting to write the final story for the course I was taking before I started the children and young adult course. My prilimanary name for the story is called "The Cave" the basic premise of the story is a couple of boys discover a cave while playing and go explore it the next day. While exploring the cave they discover treasure chest, When they open the chest it's filled with something more precious than gold, but I haven't figured out what that something is. I'm leaning toward ... I'm not sure what I'm leaning toward. I sure hope something comes to mind by the time I reach the end of this story.

I'm Putting My Novels On Hiatus For A While

I decided to take a couple more writing courses that will take my focus away from Elendore for a while. Don't worry Elendore isn't going anywhere and will wait for me to come back to it. This was just something I needed to do in order to take my writing to the next level. So for now I'll be writing about the experiences I'm having while working on the writing courses I'll be taking.

The first course is a prerequisite to the second course, but both courses focus on writing for young adults and children. In fact the first course is called "Writing for Childern and Teenagers". These courses are offered thorugh the "Institute of Children's Literature". The most important thing is that I need to do extremely well on the first course to be invited to take the second course, which is a novel writing course.

I figure the first course will take me about two years, maybe less. It all depends on how quickly I can think up new story ideas. One thing I plan to do during this course is to write down any and all story ideas I think up, so I have a plethora of choices to choose from when it's time to sit down a write each assignment.
